Attending Class and/or Practice Sessions
Participants should follow their veterinarians' recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations.  Proof of rabies inoculation may be required.

Guests are always welcome to visit our classes! 

 

Heeling is the most complex exercise in obedience.   When correctly done, the handler and the dog appear to be ‘dancing’ in perfect harmony with each other.  This class is designed for students who intend to show for advanced obedience titles.  Heeling class emphasizes dog attention, correct position and positive attitude.   This very challenging obedience exercise is taught as increments which can be layered and combined.  Enrollment is limited to assure personalized instruction.

Pre Utility This class is designed for trainers starting to work towards the Utility Dog Title.   Each separate exercise (Directed Jumping, Moving Stand, Signal, Scent Discrimination, Directed Retrieve) is broken into tiny segments and presented to the dog in a positive manner.  Each student receives individual instruction. The instructors (two) for this class have earned multiple Utility titles on their own dogs.    Enrollment is limited due to the personalized instruction necessary.

Open This class is designed for trainers working towards the Companion Dog Excellent title.  Each exercise(Off lead Heeling, Retrieve on Flat, Retrieve over High Jump, Broad Jump) is segmented and presented in small portions to the dog and his trainer.  Positive reinforcement

Personalized instruction is designed by two accomplished instructors.     Enrollment is limited due to the personalized instruction required.

Utility This class is designed for trainers competing or working to compete in the Utility Class.   Each member of the class has the opportunity to work on each Utility exercise with expert advice from the two instructors.  Positive reinforcement is emphasized.    Enrollment is limited due to the personalized instruction required.
